I cannot help you, but I wondered if you, or someone else out there,
could help me. My husband's great grandmother was Ida Frances SNYDER
(or Frances Ida Snider). I have seen it each way. Also, instead of Ida,
one place it was given as Isabella. She was born 14 APRIL 1868,
married Samuel Jackson RAGLAND in September 1885, and died 29 NOV 1921.
They had 9 children.
Since the Ragland's came into Searcy County, Arkansas via Missouri, I
thought you might be able to help. We have not been able to find any
other information about her. The proverbial brick wall. Recently, we
heard a strange tale to the effect that she had been found on a SNYDER
family porch or steps. They supposedly raised her and knew nothing else
about her. Everyone who would know about her background is dead. Is
there a SNYDER family out there who knows about this girl? All help
would be appreciated.
