I cannot tell you all the particulars but the Black Hawk War happened
in the States of IL and IN between 1831 and 1832 in and one famous
person who fought in that war was Lt. Abraham Lincoln.
The records are in the National Archives in Washington, DC and there
were pensions paid for service.
