Is there a website to assist a person doing Latin translations of old
Catholic Church records?
The ideal site would have basic Latin words, phrases, and name endings
used specifically in Baptism, Marriage, and Death entries.
I received 64 xerox pages of these entries dating from the late 1600s to
1850s from my researcher in Europe that are, of course, in Latin.
Although the researcher did translate the basics of person, parents, and
date, I want the whole entry translated. So far I've made good headway
using the researcher's short translations, a Latin/English Dictionary, and
common sense. I know a sweet elderly priest who would assist me, so I am
not lacking in help.
