Seek any info: Lucinda MORRIS b. May 1828 m. Grundy PARKER son or grandson of
Joseph PARKER (1860 census Newton Co. MO)
Letitia MORRIS b. 1833 sister to Lucinda is in their household in Morgan
Co. ILL
1850 census. She may have married John HENRY Nov. 1852 Morgan Co. ILL.
1860 census Newton Co. MO an Elizabeth Radford age 24 is in household to
care for (?) Joseph age 84 b. SC
Grundy was said to be scout for Union Gen'l Nathaniel Lyons who died
Wilson Creek battle near Neosha MO. No other name for Grundy is recorded.
Marriage records not found. Actual military records not found. (family
lore)
Indian blood on either MORRIS or PARKER side not confirmed--just a family
tale.
Parents of MORRIS girls: Parents of PARKER or siblings. Alexander and
John brothers who disappeared after the war--I can't even find them before
the war.
I think he was a scout--left absolutely NO TRACKS.
