First let me thank all who responded. I have been to some pretty
interesting sites and have gotten new info to chew one for a while.
Second- I stated Sutton in my first querie. My mistake. It was Salem.
Third-What I have found so far appears to be this: According to
transcripts of the Trials, Samuel Sibley testified against Sarah Good
who was hanged in 1692. My question is was this the Samuel Sibley that
was husband of Mary Sibley????
Fourth- I must state from what I have researched so far Mary Sibley
never stood trial. She was reprimanded by her church for teaching
"John-Indian" how to bake a cake.
Fifth- this Samuel and Mary Sibley either removed to Sutton after the
Witch scare or their daughter Mary Sibley married Freegrace Marble in
Sutton and resided there.
I am not one hundred percent sure I have this right but I am working on
it. Any one who knows anything about the role the Sibleys played in
these 1692 Salem trials I would love any input or corrections.
Thanks
Julie
