Subject: Did all get PASSPORTS?

Have a case of a family in Lackawanna Co., PA of a Swedish family where
two brothers had come to work in a coal mine. One brother was killed
there leaving a wife and 3 children. The other brother decided that
life was too dangerous and went back to Sweden about 1875. Did he need a
passport to leave the country?? And are there re-entry records available
into Sweden? Would like to know the rules. Thanks, Renee
