This is an application of the Soundex rule that two consecutive letters that
code the same way count as one. It makes no difference whether one of the
letter is the first letter of the name. So:

MILLER = M460, not M446
LLOYD = L300, not L430 (i.e., the same as LOYD)
SCHMIDT = S530

and so forth.
