Roll of Emigrants that have been sent to the colony of Liberia, Western
Africa, by the American Colonization Society and its auxiliaries, to
September, 1843, &c

Schooner Swift's Company, arrived at Monrovia July, 1836 - All emigrants
were from the state of Mississippi and were freed by William Foster.
Surnames include Banks, Martin, Mitchell, Williams, Braxton and Bundy.

Brig Luna's Company, arrived at Bassa Cove August, 1836 - Most emigrants
were from Georgia and Virginia. Surnames include Haynes, Brown, Majors,
Harland, Dunn and Buchner.

Brig Roundout's Company, arrived at Monrovia February 4, 1837 - Most
emigrants were from North Carolina and Virginia. Surnames include Bloom,
Shuman, Wooten and Shackelford. Most were freed by Shad. Shuman, Esq.

Schooner Oriental's Company, arrived at Monrovia July 10, 1837 - All
emigrants were the former slaves of N. Emmerson, Esq. and emigrated from
West Tennessee -- all have the surname of Emmerson.
