Desperately searching for ANY
info on GGrandmother's family. Have
been able to find anything since[1860
MITCHELL CO-GA census ]when she & a
few of her siblings appeared with her Father & Mother. I know she was MY
Grandmother's parent, was a midwife,
lived in Fredonia, FL(Near Ft. Meade,
FL), DIED: 9/28/1905, is buried in Mt.
Olive Cemetery near Ft. Meade, FL.
Was out in cold weather delivering
babies, caught pneumonia, died. Was
BORN: 11/23/1850/51 @ Buena Vista
(Marion Co)GA
UNABLE to find marriage records for
her & George Wilson Sanders(My
Grandmother's Dad) He BORN:
2/11/1841(Marion Co-GA)
DIED: 6/2/1912...BURIED: Mt.Piscah
Cemetery-near Ft. Meade, FL. Have
traced his history thru Civil War & is
named & commented on by Col. Wm.
C. Oates(His commanding officer) in
"THE WAR BETWEEN THE UNION AND THE CONFEDERACY" written 1905.
NOTHING on him after discharge, UNTIL found in Florida,
homesteaded "Hooker's Prairie(FL)",
planted rice.

With a family of her siblings this large,
I know there are relatives out there who
can give me important info I'm looking for
and help me to the top this "brick-wall. "
I'm sure they must be interested in their
ancestor & I have info I can share with them. Also have info on
Melvina's Grandad , his spouse & his children. It's
the recent family info I don't have & I need
that part of the puzzle...........
Everyone was so wonderful with help
in finding the info on my GGrandad, &
I finally got to the top of my "brick-wall",
but still have further to go to complete
him.(Like WHo were his parents? His
siblings?) How did he end up in FL?
I pray someone will be as helpful
with MELVINA.
I will be eternally grateful.
