There is one handy genealogy tool that is under utilized. Rootsweb made the
possibility to post notes on the site for your deceased ancestors. This can
be very useful. If more people posted notes, there would be a greater
potential to connect with other researchers.
I find that it is especially helpful if you think the person is related, but
you are unsure. We can't afford to send off for the SSDI letter for all of
these uncertainties. I post a note that says, Were this person's parents
John Doe and Sally Smith? Then anyone related can e-mail me and let me know
the parents for that individual.
You can also put post-its on known relatives in hopes of finding fellow
researchers for that family.

SSDI.genealogy.rootsweb.com. Try it in the New Year and see if we can't
find more cousins!!! Maybe this will help you past that wall!
