May I add to this very good advice? You can simply call the reference desk
at your local library and ask your song question. The reference librarians
know the places to look. They will get back to you after they search for the
answer. Our library used to keep a vertical file of old songs because it is
such a frequently asked question. Now, the reference librarians have
bookmarks in their internet browsers of old song sites, and can usually find
almost any song in a much shorter time. They also have access to
librarians-only mailing lists for really tough questions.
