Subject: ZEPP and the Pullman Strike of 1894 in Chicago

Hello
I am still looking for information on the Pullman Strike in Chicago
Illinois in July of 1894. In particular I am looking for information about
my gr-greatgrandfather Richard McSherry ZEPP who was shot and killed on
July 6, 1894. He was a detective with the B&O Railroad and was trying to
stop the strike by Pullman workers. Also shot was a detective William
Martin of Baltimore. It seems there is a conflict as to the correct way
his death occured. One account has him shot by some outside the B&O
offices at the Grand Central Depot in Chicago. The other account has him
shot as a riot gun fell over inside the office.
I am looking for newspaper accounts of this incident or any other reference
material that may include this account of his death and the surrounding
circumstances.
Thanks for any help you can offer. Please email me directly if you want at
.
