Hi
Seeing your information on Dixon, I decided to approach you with some
questions that you might hold the answers to. I am showing that my great
grandfather was DIXON FREEMONT SMITH and I believe he was from somewhere
around the chicago area, or in central Indiana. He married an Amanda, or
Amenda Roller, who I beleive was from the Virginia area, and had 3 sons known
to me as Tug Wilson, Ruben, and Rome. Does any of this information fit in
with your SMITH/DIXON records? Back then, many times the sons were names
after a parents family, and my Father carries the middle name of DIXON and
his brother carried the middle name of Decker, which was my grandmothers
maiden name.
Any information would be of interest, as I am at a dead end for right now.
