Subject: Mississippi Riverboat deaths
Date: Thu, 4 May 2000 23:29:15 -0500

My great grandfather's father whose last name was Scott was killed by a
falling timber on a riverboat he worked on - on the Mississippi River.
My great grandfather was about 21 when he entered the CSA. He was
furloughed in 1865. This doesn't give much to go on by way of dates. Is
there anyone out there who has done a study of Mississippi riverboats and
deaths that occurred on them?
Thanks, Marilyn
