Does anyone know more about the Orphan Trains that took
orphaned children from NY to the West. There is a survivor of these
children who has not been able to find out the names of her
parents. She is 81 years old. I have an article on it called the
"Survivors of 'Orphan Trains' Reunite" by Robert Weller. There is no
newspaper name or date. The reunion took place in Lakewood
Colorado. New York's Foundling Hospital stated that all their
records were burned so they cannot tell this woman who her
parents were. Can anyone help or enlighten on this? There is an
author, Janet Liebl who wrote "Ties That Bind, the Orphan Train
Story of Minnesota." Thanks for your help.
