I spent several years computerizing death records from 1890s in Manhattan,
so I beg to differ with the man who said they were unavailable. They should
be available through familysearch.com. I know one can buy a CD with these
records, because I have used one. I do not know the extent of the records,
however. Many of us did thousands of these. At one time I knew the names of
all the coroners in the area in 1892 or so. Keep looking.
