Announcing a Day of Celebration for Sarah McClelland - Philip
McConnell
To be held at the Otto Community Center, Otto, NC,
on Saturday, August 19, 2000.
Sarah and Philip were born in County Antrim, Ireland, in the
1740s. I have a copy of their marriage bond, dated February 18,
1763, Salisbury, Rowan County, NC. They had one child, a son,
William, born 1764. Philip died in the Revolutionary War, 1778.
The program will start around 1000, be informal, and last all
day with lunch around 1200 hours. Bring your favorite picnic
lunch and we will break bread together.
The facility is located in Otto just off of US441, anyone in Otto
can provide directions.
One feature of the activities is to have the capability to scan
and print family history documents in both black and white
and color. So bring your photos and share them with other family
members.
In order to ensure that we can all enjoy this day, please contact
me and let me know if you plan to attend so we can get a head
count.
Please pass this word to others in order that we may have as
many family members in attendance as possible.
Looking forward to a great day of celebration for Sarah and
Philip.
