Subject: [ROOTS-L] Confederate ship - "Shenandoah"
Date: Sun, 01 Oct 2000 23:05:24 +0800
In 1865 towards the end of the American Civil war, a privateer vessel was
commissioned in England, for the Confederate navy. She was named the
Shenandoah and on her way to the US she came via Melbourne. If you are
interested in the journey of this ship - these are extracts from the
Creswick papers.

I don't know what happened to the Shenandoah - haven't reached that part of
the papers yet, but if you have anything to add I would be interested.
