Can someone tell me if it's possible to get copies of the court records
regarding the following case?

Galesburg, Illinois
Galesburg Evening Mail Nov 8, 1923

SEEKING DATA
TO SUPPORT
HISE MURDER?
-----------
Officials of Two Counties, Relatives, State Quiz to Learn Fate of Stronghurst
Man

STRONGHURST, Nov. 8, 1923 - (Special to the Evening Mail) States attorneys
of Henderson and Knox counties, insurance investigators and individuals have
joined in a concerted effort to clear up the mystery that continues to shroud
the disappearance in February of 1921 of Jess Hise, 30, successful business
man of this community and father of four small children. There is a story
current here to the effect that Hise was a victim of foul play following a
card game and that his body was cremated. The story is not entirely new, but
retold with probable fact bearing details.

What the authorities and relatives of the missing man are directly concerned
in is a reported confession of a dying man that contained the facts of the
card game and the clubbing to death of Hise, the subsequent cremation of his
body in a furnace and the burying of any tell tale evidence. This chapter of
the mystery to date is nebulous. M.W. Nolan, state's attorney of Henderson
county, is investigating this story.

Thanks in advance,
Joan Hise Bancroft
