I have already added that she has helped me. I receive the list as a digest. For those of you who understand the remarkable giving nature of this lady, you can now keep scrolling.
For those of you who do not think that a genealogy list is the place for listing surnames from old newspapers--I am very confused.
For those of you who think this should be done on a locality specific site--this list is full of requests for information with a specific location listed. I do not see the difference in posting info with a specific location listed.
Genealogy is learning. Mail lists contain mail. Much of the mail you receive from a mailing list does not pertain to your research. Some questions you can answer, some you would like the same info. It is a matter of give and take. Hopefully you will all find the people you search for. And if you're lucky, someone will post the news, for the location that you are seeking.
