I strongly disagree and strongly take exception to being ordered to make
responses adhere to another individual's personal preference. A list of
millions of questions and no answers would certainly dry up and die for lack
of interest. To me, the questions are not nearly as interesting [or
helpful] as the answers. How about a rule that we post only answers, no
questions? Makes just as much sense. The nickname discussion has been very
enlightening and much more interesting than much of what I see on this list.
But then that is just my personal preference and opinion. Others are no
less free to hold, express and act upon their own personal preferences and
opinions. Three cheers for the free for all; free rootsweb, free mail list,
free questions, free answers, and a free country where we are all free to
express opinion.
