I am still researching my g-g-grandparents:
(all records are from my and other family members records, Probate
Records of Alachua County, Florida, and Jackson County, MS Archives
Department, Pascagoula, MS)
James ? Pendarvis>SC>GA>Alachua County, FL b?, d. abt 1866, married to
Nancy Williams>Alachua County,FL b?, d 1872. Susan Pendarvis-Strobel(or
Stroble) was amd. of Est, until 1880, then J. Exley(cousin to Pendarvis
children, his mother Mary and Nancy were sisters) took over as Estate
Amd. and the guardianship of James & Nancy's minor children, William
Allen, George L., and Joseph James.
Some of the Pendarvis children married into the Button, Huggins, Strobel
families of Alachua County, FL.
Also, another one of their sons, my g-grandfather Joseph James Pendarvis
b.1866 FL died MS, who married M.E. "Molly" Jones in 1895, Jackson
County, MS; her parents where John W. Jones(MS) and Ann Kennedy(Mobile
County,(AL>MS>)of Jackson County, MS.
James Pendarvis and Lewellen Williams, and J. Exley(d. 1857 & was
married to Mary Williams-Blanton-Exley, sister to Nancy), owned a
store at that time era. All (and the store) resided in Alachua County,
FL. There store was dissolved after Lewellen Williams died abt 1867 with
Nancy Williams Pendarvis as Estate Amd.
Lewellen Williams also used "all" these other given names on his
recorded records in Florida until 1867:
Llewelling/Lew/Lewellen/Lewallen/Lewelling and there was also a "Major L
Williams" in probate records also.
I have no info on who Lewellen's parents where.
Any help or direction would be great!
Lists I manage:
KUMPAKISKE (w/Ancestry.com) Surname maybe misspelled??
