Hi, Cassandra:
Don't know exactly what you're looking for but here are
some ideas:
U.S. Vital Records: http://www.vitalrec.com/ny.html
Cemeteries: http://www.interment.net/
New York State Cemetery Directory:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~nygenweb/cem/cdiran.htm
Genealogical Research at the New York Public Library:
http://www.nypl.org/research/chss/lhg/research.html
I live in Miami and in my library I found this very
interesting book that has names collected from family
bibles. It even has an INDEX of names. This is the Title
of the Book:
The Colonial Dames of The State of New York - GENEALOGICAL
RECORDS - Manuscript Entries of Births, Deaths and
Marriages, taken from family bibles 1581-1917 - Edited by
Jeannie F.J. Robison and Henrietta C. Bartlett originally
published in New York in 1917 and reprinted in Baltimore in
1972.
I had a website concerning Probates in New York - but I
can't find it at this time.
GOOD LUCK!
Lucie Myers
