Subject: [ROOTS-L] Reason of death.
Date: Tue, 7 May 2002 09:24:18 -0600
All - I have received my Gr; Gr; Grandfather reason of death from NARA.
He is reported ---- Died Feb. 8th 1864 in hospital at Fort Snelling Minn; of
"Inebriation".
On other reports received it stated that he died of Disease.
In the dictionary it states that "inebriation" means in a state of
intoxication.
I believe that I read somewhere that TB was reported as a word simpler to
this one (Inebriation), do you know what I mean?
I can't see Drunkenness (Inebriation) being the cause of death and being
called a disease contacted in the service.
Am I reading this wrong?
The writing is quite clear but questionable.
Can anyone help me? Thank you so much in advance. Velma.
