I am somewhat of a newby at researching but have obtained my
grandmother's social security copy to retrieve her parents names and
her date of birth.
John K Williams and Florence Brown were her parents, they had her in
Luling Texas (Caldwell county) Mar 12, 1901. I called them, they said
they didn't have her information on her birth certificate but that it
wasn't uncommon because until 1903 it wasn't greatly organized to
obtain one. She probably had a delayed birth certificate but they
didn't have that on record either.
How can I possibly find them? Ive looked through the census until I
can barely see (it's so slow). You can't do a search on it because it
is handwritten. Any suggestions? Anyone with any information please
contact me, it would be greatly appreciated.
