I am trying to track down a family that keeps eluding me. I have
located three of the children (actually they were well grown and on their
own) in Pennsylvania. I'm reasonably sure the entire family arrived
together, about 1868. I've effectively eliminated Philadelphia as their port
of entry. I suspect the family arrived at Baltimore or New York.
Does anyone have an index for New York, New Jersey or Maryland, that
covers the 1870 census? I'm attempting to locate Thomas Jackson, his wife
Anastasia and several of their children. Any help or hints will be greatly
appreciated.
