Hello Richard R.Carlson,I receiver your message of 9/26/2002. You don't know
how happy it made me to think someone would take time to help me try to find
out what happened to John l Martin. I will tell all i can about what you ask
for.He was living in A labama in 1939 whenhe joined the service. His birthday
1-17-1919,don't know his SS# as you know back then they used a service #
which was #7004957.don't recall his parents names. Thanks for suggesting me to
ask for Standard Form 180 to inquire about Military Records. I looked on the
Http://ssdi.rootsweb.com/ site but he wasn't on it,which doesn't mean too
much .i looked for my dad and granddad but they weren't on it either. I
thought when i got a computer i could find out a lot about ancesters.Maybe i
just don't know how to go about it but can't find anything.I will be forever
grateful for you helping me to find out about " Johnnie" thanks for being
sooooo kind. Sincerely Emily
