I was in the US Navy during WWII and after the war, jobs were
sort of scarce so I joined the US Army Air Corps. Then in 1947
they decided to create the US Air Force so they gave everyone an
option of gettin a discharge or becoming a member of the Air Force.
I chose to be released but after a year I rejoined the US Air Force.
I later got out but stayed in the Reserve and was called back for
two years during the Korean War.
Hope that clears things up.
