on 28 May 1943, at Moody Field, Valdosta, GA. I recieved my Pilot's wings
and Reserve commision as a Second Lt. in the US ARMY AIR CORPS, RESERVES.
It was not until 30 June 1947, that the US AIR FORCE officially became a
separate branch of the armed services.
