Hello Listers,

I have an old family photo from around 1890, I guess, and two gentlemen in
the photo have made the point of bringing two books/documents into the photo
with them. Since one of the gentlemen was a preacher, I am pretty sure that
the book he is holding is a Bible. One of his sons in the photo is holding
another book or document and I can't discern what it might be. When I
enlarge the image several times, it almost looks as if I am seeing a zia
symbol (if you don't know what this is, it is a symbol found on the New
Mexico flag). These family members came from Alabama and settled in East
Texas though. Can some of you tell me what documents or books were brought
into the family photos to show off? My curiousity is getting me on this
one. It had to have had some importance or they wouldn't have bothered,
right?

Thanks all!
