Ohio did record state census in the 1800's between years of the federal census. I learned this when I visited the state archives in Columbus in 1900. (I live in Wisconsin.) Unfortunately, the director said there were no plans to make the records available to the public. So they probably still just reside untouched in the archives. However, that was 13 years ago; perhaps things have changed since then. Charles Carome
