Hello,
   Would someone try to lookup Sarah Whelan on the 1900 census
for Jackson County, Missouri. She would be about 78 years old.
If her husband is still alive, his name is Polaski. There maybe 1 son.

ANSWER:
Millie,
The 1900 Census, like most, is indexed only by head of family. There is no
Sarah Whelan nor Polaski Whelan listed. It's possible that Sarah is living with
her son and you did not mention his name and he would be the one that comes up
on the index.

Jackson County, Missouri in 1900 has quite a few rolls of microfilm so if you
know the name of the town/township that might also help (depending on how
it's broken down) find your Whelans.
