Do you know what county it took place in? I also live in iowa, and my Ex
daughterinlaw was adopted. I believe it was private as they had an attorney
handle it. If you have the date and the county, you might go to an adoption
site, andsome could give you assistance. I went to a cite for calif, where
my brother was adopted out, and someone sent me a list of every male that
was born in that county on that date. So you should be able to find that. I
got luck and knew the adoption agency that took care of his adoption, so am
sending for info on him. They will only give you a certain amount of info.
But i believe that they can contact the adoptee if necessary. I am awaiting
info now. WE hit a brick wall with my dil as her parents refused to give any
info on the adoption. but not that they are deceased we are looking into it.
we know that she was born in des moines, try the adoption sites they are
very helpful
