Subject: [ROOTS-L] WWII military units
Hello,
The tombstone reads: Sam Ent
Colorado
Aug 4 1901 - Oct 16, 1955
PVT 1948 SVC COMD Unit
World War II
Tina:

NARA probably won't have his service record, but U.S. Personnel Records
Center in St. Louis will. However, to find out more about the military unit
itself, I would suggest you contact Carlisle Barracks in Caarlisle, PA and provide
him this informaion, along with the name of your individual. They could have
info on your person if he was involved in the unit, though most of the time the
only thing that will provide is information about the military unit or
command.
