Hello Sue,
It depends on who you order the record from and the nature of the
records you are seeking. Searches for INS records (now called the
USCIS) can take several months. Requests for Social Security SS-5 forms
usually seem to take about 1-2 months. Others may take from a few weeks
to a few months.
