Sorry to butt in but I have to say something about the remark below. I
think it's a very unfair and arrogant assumption. My father has no photos of
his paternal grandfather, who died before he was born. Why? It's not because
"family somewhere down the line decided it was not important". Before he was
born my grandparent's
house burned down and they lost everything. It's important to remember that
photos and other pieces of
family history are sometimes lost because of fire, flood, etc, not simply
because someone didn't think they were worth keeping around. Just my 2
cents!
