I'mhaving a bit of trouble trying to figure out the WWII Enlistment Records
database at ancestry.com. I believe I've found many ancestors/relatives, but
have all of them down as speculation. This is because many of them have
Alaska as either "State" or "Enlistment" state. The other state listed for all
of them is Pennsylvania, which is where they all were from. One particular
surname, Hodick, is not very common and it seems other information on these
records match in terms of first names, dates, occupations.

Is there any reason why the state might be listed on these cards as Alaska
when they weren't from there? Am I barking up the wrong trees?
