If you submit your Family Tree to Ancestry they will include it in the World
Tree which is OK but people have to pay for it.

If you put your own Gedcom up on RootsWeb WorldConnect it will be free to
others to search and contact you for additions or corrections. Ancestry
seems to gather this info anyway only you have more control over it. That's
what I have done. And I do not allow Gedcoms from MY site. unless they
contact ME and it is a "good share".

I have also submitted all of my Genealogy to the Pedigree Referral Service
on the FamilySearch.org which is also good for sharing and preserving your
Genealogy. This is put and preserved on CD's and distributed through out
the World in Family History Centers. You can update this also ever so often
when ever you have a big addition or correction. This is Free to all. The
only ones who have control over this is The Family History Center in Salt
Lake City. This is good.

I have two sites linked to each other.

http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=donna70 for a good Pedigree and
my other one with photos http://www.ballandautreyancestry.com

I hope this helps.
