A family surname and a given "Coat of Arms" don't necessarily go
together. That is a "Coat of Arms" is for a specific SMITH (example)
family. Just because your surname happens to be SMITH doesn't mean you
qualify. So unless your are from that specific line you don't qualify
to use it. Common misunderstanding I learned some years ago.
