I grew up that way. Mother always stored her left overs in the cupboard and
we never got sick. Now foods spoil in the refrigerator. In those days, we
raised our own food, including the meat. My sister and I made scrapple often and
we've never been to PA. I love it. Someone mentioned no one was doing
research on her family. I feel the same way. I've never heard from anyone on this
loop that knew anything about Adam Becker and Maria Brunon Becker in Alsace
Lorraine and Prussia in the 1860s. They were killed in an accident about then
and I would like to hear how and where they lived. Their home village is my
brick wall of over 30 years. I want to find more ancestors.
