Subject: [ROOTS-L] What is This Disease
Date: Sat, 20 Jan 2007 12:18:47 EST

I've just received a Report of Death for a Louis Pankie who died at the
corner of Washington Blvd. and California Avenue in Chicago on 29 January 1885.
It lists as cause of death: Haiurophysis. What is this? I can't find it
anywhere. The entire report is printed and in checking all the letters, they all
seem to be the same. It was all printed in upper case. The only "suspect"
letters are the r and the o. They seem to be printed in lower case. Does anyone
have any idea what this disease could be? If he just fell dead at the corner
perhaps it was some sort of heart attack or stroke. Any help appreciated.
Sharon
