Subject: [ROOTS-L] For Laura Loding

I either missed Laura's post or haven't received it yet. (Messages often
come in out of sequence, but that's another issue.) Anyway, perhaps she'll
see this . . .
Laura, that's simply not possible. Depending on the search criteria you
enter and where at Ancestry.com you're searching, there must be a reason why
the system isn't returning the results you expect. Perhaps if you tell us
the name of your WorldConnect database and give us a name of one of your
ancestors (an unusual one would be best), some of those on the list with
knowledge about Ancestry.com's methods can check out the problem and find
the answer. There are folks on the list who love puzzles like
this--including me!

Subject: [ROOTS-L] directions to "Ancestry Site Comments"
If you go to Rootsweb, (or Ancestry since it's the same data base) and
click on "message boards" on the top menu, then type in your search
criteria under "find a board".
For instance, type in "Ancestry". There will be several options for you
to choose from.
Under "Ancestry Site Comments", you can search for any topic, IE: type in
"tree" or "family tree" or any variety of such.
There you can post your questions and comments, read about what others have
discovered, and anyone can rant til they are out of breath. You may find
the support you are looking for and/or answers to your questions about
"why" or "how" something works or doesn't.
It's probably a lot more productive than using this board.
Just my 2 cents worth..
