Subject: [ROOTS-L] Can You Find - Lizzie SCALES JACKSON - 1900 Georgia Census
Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2007 12:08:43 -0400
This may be long; however I do want to include all the information and
searches I have done.
My great aunt Lizzie SCALES JACKSON born in Georgia about September
12, 1880, I am unable to find in 1900. Her mother and brothers are in
Red Bud, Gordon County,
Georgia. I have the census records for her and her husband, James A
JACKSON , from 1910 - 1930.
Family lore/rumor has it that she was married twice to men named
Jackson, from information in the census records, I have concluded she
married James around 1903.
The date of birth is from her tombstone and I have more recent information from
family who lived in the area. But no one is still living who can
provide any information
about where she might have been and who she would have been with.
I suspect she was somewhere in Gordon County but her parents had lived
in Whitfield
County at one time and there are several counties that are close in that area.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Smiles,
Marilyne

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but
trifles, to be sure; but, scattered along life's pathway, the good
they do is inconceivable.
