I am hoping that someone who has more knowledge re Va law than I can help .
I need to know which law is referred to in a court record that has cropped
up a in a couple different genealogies. in the late 1700 in Va .One case a
man was allowed a specific amount of moneys to be allowed one man to care
for a wounded soldier .Unclear if soldier was his son or another mans son
.The second record reads Henry Caviness be allowed so many pounds for the
maintenance of Mary Caviness in the year 1785 and that the the sum be paid
out of the deposition in the hands of the county treasurer .What can these
records be referring to ???Patricia Perkins
