My advice is to e-mail your daughter and have her get in touch with the local police on their non-emergency number. Let the police know what happened. She may have prevented a tragedy in her home . . . and may prevent future ones in her area.

Over-reacting? No. My father was a police officer and my mother knew a "con" when confronted by one. I won't bore readers with details, but she managed to get rid of the "con men" and write down license numbers . . . then notify the local police. The men were caught and went to jail on other charges.

I am tired of hearing "why didn't someone warn us?" You are the "someone" who has the power to prevent tragedies. Not everyone is as nice as your relatives!
