I have always shared my files with others, and will continue to do so; however, I will never put info that I've worked so hard for on the internet. Word to the wise, if you do, you may very well see books with your work(identical wording), you'll see your files with false information added. If you see requests for info about a certain surname in your files, by all means contact the person and share with her/him. Don't put it in the ozone.
