Hi List:
I'm HOPING 2011 will mark the END to many years of frustration. I have a Paternal Grandfather whose Immigration details have eluded my meager searching skills. I will list the information I have in the hope that the data shown can be massaged to yield an answer.
1) NAME=> Lorenz GSCHWENDTNER. (Spelling from birth record as found in Munich Archive).
2) BIRTH=> 12.Jun.1867. Bavaria, Miesbach Dist., Parsberg Parish, Leitzach. (from above Archival Source).
3) IMMIGRATION DATE=> 1892. Shown on U.S. Fed. 1900 Census, St. Paul, Minnesota.
4) DEATH DATE=>19.Mar.1906. Minn., Ramsey Co., St. Paul Official Record.
5) SPECULATION=> MAY have entered thru New Orleans Port ?

I have a subscription to Ancestry, but their immigration records cover New York ONLY and show a Lorenz Gschwendtner arriving in 1907, which is a year AFTER my Grandfather's death. I have GOOD records for both his ancestors and descendants but have been stymied by lack of these 1892 details ..... is there some knowledgeable person on this list that can provide this information?
