Subject: [ROOTS-L] RE SHARING MY INFO WITH OTHERS
Date: Sun, 3 Oct 2010 15:45:07 -0400

As for myself: I love to share with others.
To me this is what makes my genealogy work and searching so rewarding; and I feel so fullfilled as well.

I am in my mid seventies now and I have learned so far in life that the more i give out to others in every area of my life; the more i get back.

To the very person I might share and give genealopgy info too; it may not necessarily be them that gives back to me.
But indeed i do receive back from so many unexpected sources.

For example being given a photo of my GreatGrandfather.; as my own Granfather passed away when my Daddy was just 4 yrs old. This meant os much to me and was well worth all the sharing and giving that I had ever done.

It was also through someone else I never knew; that I lerarned about my daddy's baby sister still alive in England and is a fisety 93 yr old and still travells aabout. "SMILES"

I do have a few rules of my own re sharing that just sort of sifts out the real genealogy seekers.
I try to make sure there is a true link with one of my family trees before sharing.
Once that is established I may actually share my whole tree with them.

I love to help fill the gaps in someone's tree when I can, and that can be as exciting as doing my own.

Like my signature say to giveand also share a smile or love; is the best part of my day
