I would recommend either photographing them or scanning them and then
putting them inside acid free sheet protectors. Laminating them is permanent
and cannot be undone.

Subject: [ROOTS-L] Laminating Documents

Hi Everyone

I have in my possession many old birth, death & marriage certificates
which are in some cases old and becoming brittle. Any thoughts pro &
con on laminating them?

Thanks
