OK! I understand about the "take hours" comment now.

My, you have a large database. I don't have anything comparable to test
but I did transfer ALL of my FO10 databases from my desktop to my laptop
with LapLink. There were 14 dbs at 35 files per db plus 4 .lst files.
That's 494 files altogether and they totalled 8,452,802 bytes.

The transfer took 2 min 50 sec and I didn't have to start FO10 on the
desktop to make backups or start FO10 on the laptop to do restores. The
LapLink process goes from hard disk to hard disk via the parallel ports.

For your situation, it sounds like you're doing it the best way.
